1 Trikonasana (Triangle pose)
To execute this pose, stand straight with your feet wide apart and hands straight parallel to the ground. Now bend on your left side and try to touch your left foot with your left hand. Stay in this position for 10-20 seconds and repeat the same on the other side.
It helps in relieving lower back pain, stress, and slow digestion. This pose strengthens the muscles in the thighs, hips, and back while toning the knees and ankles.
2 Chair Pose
This pose makes you feel like your thighs are burning. Stand straight with your feet joined together and hands by your side. Now lift your arms above your head such that your palms face each other and now bend slowly on your knees, the same you do in a squat position. Your thighs should be parallel to the ground. Stay in the position for 10-15 seconds. The benefit of chair pose is that it sculpts your leg muscles and strengthens hip flexors and back.
3 Angle pose
Stand straight with your feet hip-width apart and your hands by the side. Now lift your hands above your head and join them together. Bend from your chest towards your left with your hands joined together. Repeat the same on the other side. Angel pose aids in digestion, improves spinal flexibility and tones the thigh muscles.
4 Bow pose (Dhanurasana)
To perform this asana, lie flat on your stomach. Now, gradually start lifting your upper body, and simultaneously also lift both your legs. Now grasp your legs with your hands and stay in the position for as long as you are comfortable. This yoga asana flexes the spinal nerves, increases circulation, and strengthens the entire length of the spine.
5 Child’s pose (Balasana)
Child pose is not as difficult to perform as other challenging asanas. Start by sitting on the floor in Vajrasana. Now lower your head down on the carpet by resting your belly on the top of your thighs. As a beginner, your head might not touch the mat, but it will improve with time. Stretch your hands forward, with your palms touching the front of the carpet, right in front of your head. Stay in the position for around 10-20 seconds and relax.
