White rice, on the other hand, only contains about 0.6 gram of fiber per cup. Consuming more fiber will help you lower your risk for high cholesterol, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes.

Rice is also good for maintaining your ideal body weight. Excessive weight can lead to a variety of disease and conditions. Rice is the perfect food to help you with this, so you should include it in your well-balanced diet without any doubts.
